Spherical Coordinates

OBJECTIVE

As a proof of concept – porting an existing Spherical Coordinates lesson, created in EON Studio, for mobile devices.

SOLUTION

To create the proof of concept I used Unity3D, which was the best tool in this case. For drawing lines, cones, circles and semicircles I used Vectrosity library which allows me to draw vectors in 3d space. The only part not implemented was UV mapping to fill the shapes drawn by Vectrosity with texture/solid colour.

RESULT

The app was done as requested by client. Due to the budget, the client has decided not to purse the project at present

FEATURES

Calculating spherical coordinates, calculating cartesian coordinates, drawing points/spheres/cones/planes/lines/circles and semicircles based on given spherical values. Every element can be enabled/disabled separately, ability to rotate coordinate system (left/right/up/down).
